FOMU - Internship
Study Collection project
During my internship at FOMU, I worked as an assistant to curator Ingrid Leonard, focusing on developing the museum’s Study Collection. The project was still in its early stages when I arrived, which gave me the opportunity to participate in different aspects of its organization, research, and development.
The Study Collection brings together approximately 300 photographs in different formats and photographic processes, dating mainly from the mid-to-late 19th century to the early 20th century. Its aim is to make these objects directly accessible to researchers, students, artists, and curators, encouraging the study of photography not only through the images represented, but also through their material and technical characteristics.

Mixed-Species Flocks
Soundscape installation
Mixed-Species Flocks takes its name from the temporary associations that different bird species form through cooperation and mutual attentiveness. Rooted in the shared experience of the Curatorial Studies program, the installation brings together birdsongs from diverse geographies to compose a common sonic landscape. Through this constellation, the work reflects on processes of learning and unlearning, evoking the encounters, exchanges, and modes of coexistence that shaped the curatorial journey.

La mirada recobrada aims to illuminate the enigmatic figure of Chilean sculptor and photographer Julio Bertrand, founding member of the mythical group Los Diez. Stereoscopic photography, his most audacious and unknown work, acts as the thread of the story.
This project was carried out in conjunction with the research thesis submitted for the completion of the Master’s degree in the Master’s Program in Image Studies at Alberto Hurtado University, Chile.
